We are a family-owned business located in Platte County, Missouri. We primarily service the Northland area including the cities of Parkville, Gladstone, and Liberty. It is our goal to deliver an exceptional experience for our students and their families. We are committed to providing the very best driver’s training available. We ensure that our students are ready to pass the test, but MORE importantly, we teach students to be confident, cautious, and courteous drivers.
We understand that for new drivers the journey towards earning a driver’s license can be lengthy, challenging and troublesome, as was the case for us when our own son was trying to obtain his driver’s license. As the first of six children in the Park Hill School district to go through this process, it was then that we realized there needed to be a driving instruction program that was affordable, as well as flexible, to meet the growing demands of a busy household.
We want to make the process as smooth and painless as possible, all while making it convenient for you.
Matthew Sharp – Owner & Instructor
I grew up in Great Bend, Kansas where I received my Associates in Business degree from Barton County Community College. I then proceeded to receive my Bachelor in Business Communications from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas. Lastly, I completed my Masters in Organizational Communications & Management from Fort Hays State University where I spent two years as a graduate teaching assistant.
I have worked most of my 19 year career in corporate America as a District Sales Manager coaching and training sales reps. Now as a teacher in Kansas City, I spend my days teaching and coaching students and athletes.
I also have several years of coaching, teaching and instructing youth athletes in baseball, soccer, and football. Having now taught 800+ students how to drive, I bring a positive, patient coaching perspective to behind-the-wheel driver’s training.
I look forward to seeing you soon, behind-the-wheel, at Northland Driving School & Classroom Education!
